Stan Carew & The Magpies
Saturday, November 26 - 8 p.m.

Event Sponsor: Fundy Engineering

Stan Carew and The Magpies

CBC Radio’s Weekend Mornings host Stan Carew returns to perform with his band, The Magpies. Veterans of the East Coast music scene, The Magpies reckon they collectively have 200 years of musicianship under their belts, which can only mean one thing: an outstanding evening of music! Expect to hear Stan Carew originals and songs from the Halifax-based band’s repertoire that range in style from country, folk, rock, R&B and the blues.

Stan Carew & The Magpies are hard at work on their second album, due out in the fall. The follow-up to the hugely popular Circle The Wagons, the album is as yet untitled but will feature more than a dozen original songs, some brand new, and some going back to the days of the legendary Halifax band The Wolverines, which featured four of the five Magpies.
