About Penny Blacks
Formed in foggy Saint John in 2006, Penny Blacks began as a solo project by vocalist and songwriter Jason Ogden. However, the band slowly grew into a 7-piece animal all its own with members Dan Chamberlain, Chris Braydon, Ali Leonard, Clinton Charlton, Chuck Teed, and Erin Sharpe.
Heralded as “one of the best live acts to come out of the region in years” by Canadian Musician, and “a force to be reckoned with” by Here magazine, Penny Blacks’ live show is an energetic, heartfelt mix of ‘50s-tinged rockers, rootsy torch songs and true grit.
October 2011 marked the release of the band’s long-awaited debut album, Harbour. Buzzing acoustic guitar, churning strings and ear-catching dynamic arrangements lift desperate tales of heartbreak and mistakes up above the darkness and into the moonlight – the serious moonlight.

About Jam, Spots & Hospitals

Formed in Saint John, Jam, Spots & Hospitals have a mighty repertoire that will fill your ears with musical goodness! Combining folk, classical, and progressive haze, this is one band that will have your toes tapping all night long!
