Old Thomas is not only a grouch, he’s also a grump and a gloomy-Gus. As Old Thomas takes a solitary stroll on the beach, he discovers a tiny little, injured girl in the sand. Despite his cranky ways, Old Thomas decides to help the girl and, to his surprise, his life suddenly becomes filled with happiness. As he rediscovers joy and laughter, Old Thomas also finds the serenity he had searched for all his life, and he can’t help but wonder . . . could this special little girl be a fairy?
Inspired by the children’s book written by Dominique Demers, Old Thomas & The Little Fairy is an enchanting performance choreographed by Hélène Langevin, that seamlessly unites storytelling with the power of dance. It is an optimistic piece about the cycles of life - where everyone, big and small, can start over for the better.
“simply one of the best works for young audiences that I have ever seen. Children . . . will adore the playful elements . . . and the piece is in itself an irresistible introduction to the world of dance.” - La Presse, Montreal
