THE THEATRE BUSINESS IS TOUGH!

Unfortunately, ticket sales just aren’t enough. As a registered charity, hundreds of thousands of dollars must be raised from private individuals, businesses, and foundations each year to support the programs and performances at Imperial Theatre, however, with help of partners like you, taking care of our beloved community theatre is a little easier!

‘Members’ become partners – investors in the performing arts – enriching their lives and the lives of everyone in the community. As an Imperial Theatre Member, you reach out and make a difference in many ways:

  • You underwrite live performances for school children from all over the region.
  • You help provide the very best performances from around the world…performers and companies who bring their vision, artistic talent, and unique perspectives to Imperial Theatre.
  • You help bridge the gap between the actual cost of presenting an event and the money raised by ticket sales.
  • You help provide a school program to teach students about audio/visual equipment.
  • You help to subsidize a school series of interactive performances that teach, entertain and introduces children and youth to live theatre.
  • You help provide interactive workshops, dance residencies, summer performing arts school and summer rock & roll school to help develop budding performers, while providing scholarships for under-privileged children.
  • You help to keep rental rates affordable for Imperial Theatre users like Symphony New Brunswick, Saint John Theatre Company, Interaction Theatre Company and other local not-for-profit users.
  • You provide opportunities for community and visiting artists to develop new works, and to rehearse and perform on Imperial Theatre’s stage.
  • You help maintain a first class, beautiful theatre so the curtain goes up night after night.
  • You help bring joy and meaning into the lives of people in our community who might not otherwise experience live performances.

Only with the financial support of our friends in the community can all of this be made possible. Accept our thanks for your vital support – for investing in the performing arts and enriching the lives of so many. You can become a Member of Imperial Theatre for one full year from the date you make a donation of just $50. Members receive a variety of benefits, based on the level of contribution.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Imperial Theatre Members enjoy many wonderful benefits, and now with six gift levels from which to choose you can find the benefits that work for you. All members receive benefits for one full year and an official tax receipt for income tax purposes.

Chorus ($50-$99)

Your name or memorial listed, as you wish it to appear, in all Imperial Theatre playbills.

Voting privileges at Imperial Theatre’s Annual General Meeting and you can stand for election to the Board of Directors.

Invitation for two to Imperial Theatre’s annual Season Launch.

 Supporting Role ($100-$249)

All of the above plus:

Opportunity to attend a rehearsal or sound check for selected Imperial presented Events.

Installment plan fees waived for your PES subscription renewal.

Soloist ($250-$499)

All of the above plus:

Invitation for two to the President’s Backstage Party

Phone order and mailing charges waived on all of your ticket purchases

 Star ($500-$999)

All of the above plus:

Invitation for two to selected post-show meet the artist receptions.

Private guided tour of Imperial Theatre for you and ten friends.

Directors Circle ($1,000-$2,499)

All of the above plus:

Bring two friends, free of charge, to any Imperial presented performance (once per year).

Lunch for two at a local restaurant of your choice with Imperial’s President and Executive Director.

Imperial Circle ($2,500 and up)

All of the above plus:

Opportunity for you and three guests to attend a private post-show, wine & cheese, back stage with the artist (selected Imperial presented performances – once per year)

GIVE THROUGH YOUR BUSINESS OR ORGANIZATION

Your business or organization can help by just making a financial contribution at one of the levels above, or by sponsoring a Professional Entertainment Series or an individual series show. Organizations wishing to sponsor a series or performance receive many benefits, including recognition in event ads, in programs and on stage. In addition, many business and organizations purchase ads in our many event programs.
