Lorne Elliott

Lorne Elliott is no stranger to our stage. The long-time host of CBC Radio’s Madly Off in All Directions returns with a new one-man show, chock full of music, stories and, of course, comedy! The Canadian-born humourist has opened for comedians such as Rodney Dangerfield and Jay Leno, and has kept audiences in stiches across the land with his keen observations, impeccable delivery and hilarious songs!

“Fast, foolish and lots of laughs! […] a most enjoyable evening of genuine wit and humour.” - The Evening Telegram (St. John’s, Nfld.)

“A genuine and talented nut-case […] quick-witted and relevant.” - The Daily News (Halifax, N.S.)

“Elliott’s act was nothing short of brilliant, and I wanted to see more.” - Good Times (New York)

“A solid stand-up with a squeaky-clean set.” - Boston Globe

Lorne Elliott: In his own words!
“I was born so far back I can hardly remember and grew up normally, I think.  I started going on stage at a time when hair like mine was fashionable, and I hung a guitar around my neck to complete the look. Somewhere around that time people started laughing at me and I saw no reason why I shouldn’t join them. I’ve made a living off the products of my imagination for thirty years, so if you’re wondering if that’s possible I am here to tell you it is. Give it a whirl. You just might find an audience.” - Lorne
