WHERE: Mary Oland Theatre, New Brunswick Museum (Market Square)

He may be a local boy but he’s gained a national reputation for his one man show . . . Saint John’s John Mazerolle returns with an updated production of his acclaimed one-man show, a topical, historical, cutting, and yet warm dissection of his hometown. John is a sizeable talent with lots of acclaim from critics and audiences alike, and this October he plays a starring role during the Festival.
Stand-Up Showcase

Sketch and Improv Night

This event links the sponsor with some of the most talented comedians in the country. Sketch comedy leaves no room for air as Canada’s greatest troupes take to the stage for continuous fun, showcasing their best ensemble work and memorable routines. The Improv actors “are on the spot” responding to audience direction and participation with hilarious results! Together, the skill set of Sketch and Improv comics makes for a fascinating evening showcasing the art of comedy.

The Second City Show: Panic! Everybody’s Doing it!

Panic! Everybody’s Doing It! is a sketch comedy revue in the Second City style - fast-paced, topical, theatrical and professional. The show features multiple Canadian Comedy Award-winning actors performing the best scenes and songs from The Second City’s history, as well as original satire ripped from today’s headlines.
Through a series of short scripted scenes, songs and interactive bits, the cast of 6 and a live musician explore topics that are on Canadians’ minds: the economy, international conflict, the battle of the sexes, our online world, the environment and more!
