In Support of Caitlyn Colquhoun and Jayme Hall's (Executive Director at Outflow) dental initiative for Outflow Homeless Shelter
James Mullinger says:
"Outflow in Saint John house many homeless people every night. A very generous dentist (Caitlyn) wants to offer free work to them but they just need a bit more equipment. So myself and Jennifer Irving are doing this show to raise them the funds they need to give these people the dental work that they deserve. And at the same time delivering the best show you'll see this year."
Caitlyn Colquhoun says:
"This project was started by myself (Caitlyn Colquhoun) and Jayme Hall (Executive Director at Outflow). Outflow is a Christian based non-profit organization that runs a men’s homeless shelter in Saint John. They also provide approximately 800 meals per week over five nights, and work in housing the men that use the shelter. They also have started a for-profit construction company, Catapult Industry, which provides jobs for the men at the shelter.
When I was in dental school, I knew that I wanted to provide dental care for the underserved populations in Saint John. The dental assistant school in Saint John closed while I was in dental school and Outflow was able to purchase some dental equipment from them.
From there, a committee was formed of community partners who recognize the need for a collective approach to provide oral health care for those living within the five high priority neighborhoods in Saint John. Partners are currently represented by Community Health, Dental Professional Community, Department of Social Development, Henry Schein (distributor of dental care supplies), Outflow Ministry, Public Health, and Student learners. The clinic is located in the upstairs portion of the Outflow shelter. The proposed project would provide dental care to those individuals typically not accessing this service unless in an emergency situation. The service would eliminate the cost barrier to oral health care for those residents not being able to afford care.
Volunteers will be providing oral health care, assisting to establish the clinic and day to day operations. The plan is to start small by providing care once/week and increase service once the resources are available to expand. Currently, more funding is needed before the clinic is operational, so in the meantime, dentists around the Saint John area have been seeing some of the patients that are on a lengthy waitlist. The clinic had one open house in April, which started the waitlist of people who need to be seen."

The Ultimate Beatles vs Stones Tribute Show
Tickets: Category 1 $49.50 / Category 2 $44.50
onsale date: Thursday, November 9 at 10am
VaughnCo Entertainment is proud to present the ultimate Beatles vs Stones tribute show. Don’t miss the story of the infamous rivalry between the two greatest bands of the rock & roll era, and is a thrill-ride of a show!
The show begins with The Beatles in their famous black suits, performing the songs that changed the world in so many ways. They are followed by the Rolling Stones, also in their early 60’s “look”, and featuring Mr. Brian Jones on his famous teardrop guitar.
As the show (and historical timeline) progresses, you will witness the Beatles in their Sgt. Peppers wardrobe, the Stones in mid-60’s psychedelic finery, and then finally the fashions of the late 60’s/early 70’s.
The grand finale is a mash-up of both a Beatles and a Stones hit—yet another back & forth clash of these musical titans, and culminates with a cast-member asking the audience, “well who won tonight? was it the Beatles or the Stones?”. In the end though, it’s the audience who won, because they had such a magical experience!
If you didn’t see the Beatles & the Stones in the 1960’s, here’s your 2nd chance…

Iconic Newfoundland singer-songwriter, best-selling author, actor and recent recipient of the Order of Canada, Alan Doyle today announces that he will embark on a 45+ date North American tour in 2018 to support his third solo album, A Week At The Warehouse. The album drops October 13, 2017 via Universal Music.
A Week At the Warehouse was recorded live off the floor with Doyle’s band and legendary producer Bob Rock at the helm. The album is chock-a-block with country-tinged, radio-ready tunes that carry Doyle’s signature blend of traditional and modern flavours. Rock’s own band, Payola$, is celebrated with a cover of “Forever Light Will Shine” – which includes a guest vocal from none other than Paul Hyde. The album’s first single, the call to the campfire salvo “Summer Summer Night” was released in June of this year, with a second to follow.
Doyle was the lead singer of iconic Canadian band Great Big Sea, known for fusing traditional Newfoundland music with their own pop sensibilities. Their nine albums, double-disc hits retrospective, and two DVD releases have all been declared Gold or Platinum and have sold a combined 1.2 million copies in Canada. His third solo album continues to cement Doyle’s reputation as one of our country’s most treasured musicians and storytellers. In Doyle’s words, “I always want people to have the greatest night of their life when the house lights go down.”
