ACCESSIBILITY
Imperial Theatre is committed to excellence in serving all customers. The Theatre has various locations on the orchestra level that are easily accessible for those patrons with mobility concerns. We also welcome service animals to any part of the premises that is open to the public.

Please visit or call our Box Office at 674.4100 to speak with a Customer Service Representative. Our Box Office staff will be pleased to help you find the seat that is perfect for you!

WHEELCHAIR & TRANSFER SEATING

Standard Configuration: Six wheelchair accessible positions are available in various location on the orchestra level, with one side-companion seat per position.

Special Configuration: when required, nine wheelchair accessible positions are available on the orchestra level. Side-companion seating cannot be guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate your guest.

Transfer Seating: Imperial Theatre has many seats that are ideal for those who are able to transfer and would prefer to sit in a standard theatre seat. Please call the Box Office to find the seat that works best for you.

HEARING ASSIST
Hearing-assist devices are available for no charge. Please reserve then purchasing tickets to ensure availability, and then pick up devices at our House Manager’s desk on arrival.

CHILDREN AT THE THEATRE
There is nothing better than seeing children enjoying a show and Imperial Theatre is committed to enriching the lives of young people through the performing arts. However, not all performances are equally suitable for children, and we encourage parents and caregivers to inquire in advance. For most adult performances, all patrons including children are expected to remain quietly in their seats throughout. Should a caregiver and child need to leave a performance, they are welcome to relax in our lobbies.

EVENT CANCELLATIONS, TICKET REFUNDS & EXCHANGES
In the event that a performance is cancelled for any reason, tickets will be eligible for a full refund. Please call our Box Office at 674.4100 to arrange for a refund using the original method of purchase.

In the event that you are unable to attend an Imperial Theatre-presented show, we would be happy to exchange your tickets or issue a credit to your account for the original ticket price. Ticket exchanges must take place a minimum of two hours prior to the performance, and the original tickets must be returned to the Box Office before any exchanges or credits can be issued. No exchanges or account credits will be issued for a performance that has already taken place.

PARKING
Free evening (after 6:00 pm) and weekend parking is availableĀ on city streets and in some Saint John Parking Commission lots.

COAT CHECK
There is a coat check available in our lower lobby.

WASHROOMS
Washrooms are located on the balcony level and the lower level. All washrooms have accessible stalls and change tables.

CELL PHONES
Please remember to turn off your cell phone when entering the auditorium. Not only does a ringing/chiming phone disturb everyone, but the backlight of a device’s screen is equally distracting to those around you.

CAMERAS
For the vast majority of performances, the use of any recording equipment (cameras, video cameras and audio recording devices including cellular phone and tablets) is prohibited. Please listen for pre-show announcements or, if in doubt, ask an usher. In cases where limited use of personal cameras is allowed, please be considerate of those around you. Flashes are ineffective in the auditorium and must always be turned off. Please remember that the constant use of any device is a distraction to those seated around you, and you will be asked to put the device away if you are causing a disturbance. The quality of your recording can never match the experience of enjoying a live performance, so sit back and enjoy the show.

A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY
In addition to being ineffective in the auditorium, flashes are dangerously distracting for performers – especially dancers. Anyone taking flash photographs will be asked to leave the auditorium.

A WORD ABOUT SCENTS
We ask our patrons to refrain from using strong scents out of respect for your fellow patrons who may have sensitivities.

WHERE IS MY SEAT?
We have added seat number ranges to the walls above the doors to the auditorium to help you determine which side to enter. Once inside, one of our friendly, trained volunteer ushers would be happy to show you to your seat.

LATECOMERS
To ensure an enjoyable experience for all, latecomers will not be admitted until there is a suitable break in the performance, and will be seated where it will not interfere with other patrons’ enjoyment of the show.

PRE-ORDERED DRINKS & DRINK TICKETS
The bar is open before a performance and during intermission. To avoid lineups, you may pre-order and have your drink waiting for you at intermission. To maximize efficiency, the bar accepts only cash or Imperial Theatre Concessions vouchers. Vouchers may be purchased in $5 increments at the Box Office using a debit or credit card. When redeemed at the bar, the vouchers are treated like cash.
